We always loved the Kindle 2 Wireless eBook Reader. But, when it became available internationally so that Europeans, UK residents and indeed nearly everyone could order one online we loved it even more. Now the Kindle 2 price has been slashed to a far more friendly $189 we love it more than ever.
So, if you have been holding off from buying the perfect handheld eBook reader until the price fell below the all important $200 mark, you’re in luck and really need to get shopping!
There is still only one place to order the Kindle in Europe, the Kindle in the UK or indeed the Kindle in Australia, and that may friends is here. Only one company can and will ship the Kindle 2 internationally. They do deliver speedily though and have even started providing international chargers rather than the old US ones which weren’t much use to us ‘foreigners’. Yes you still have to pay in dollars but with reliable service and immediate eBook downloads all around the globe things are definitely not too bad for us non US residents.
Yes it would be better if you could buy the Kindle in London, Cardiff or Stockport but at least the Kindle is now one of the Cheapest halfway decent eBook readers on the market. It looks like fans of dedicated e-readers have something to thank the Apple iPad for – without their insane success we wouldn’t be getting such great deals on the Kindle 2!
